Riding Lesson Standards

At Acrecliffe we offer a range of regular group lessons for children and adults alike. These are designed to introduce riding in a positive manner and allow them to progress at thier own rate. Click on any of the headings in order to view details of the standards for that lesson:

Intermediate

For those who have passed Test 3 in both Riding and Care with the aim to improve overall knowledge of horse care and riding ability and to begin understanding the further technicalities of riding, including jumping.

At this level, riders will be expected to tack up, untack and be able to rug up their pony for the night.

To progress to the Experienced level, children must have passed Test 4 in both Riding & Care. In addition, demonstrate a competent understanding of safety around ponies and around the yard.
