Riding Lesson Standards

At Acrecliffe we offer a range of regular group lessons for children and adults alike. These are designed to introduce riding in a positive manner and allow them to progress at thier own rate. Click on any of the headings in order to view details of the standards for that lesson:

Beginner Lesson (½ hour) Very Novice (½ hour) Novice (1 hour) Medium (1 hour) Intermediate (1 hour) Experienced (1 hour)		Novice For those who have passed Test 1 in both Riding and Care with the aim to improve co-ordination and control of any pony in walk and trot. And, be confident to begin learning to canter. At this level, riders will be expected to take their pony out of the stable and untack their pony. At this level, riders will be expected to ride lead file in trot and be able to canter and be in control of at least two ponies. To progress to the Medium level, children must have passed Test 2 in both Riding & Care. In addition, be able to canter and be in control of at least one pony.
